Summer @ Camp Promise Barrie is a very exciting place that children love to experience! In 2024 our camp are: July 2-5 for JK-Gr 3 9:30am-3:00pm July 8-12 for ALL AGES (JK-Gr 6) 9:00am-3:30pm July 15-19 for Gr 4-6 9:30am-3:00pm July 22-26 for Youth gr 7-12 9:30am-3:00pm Camps at Camp Promise include lots of fun, games, crafts and hands-on activities, songs and stories and learning new skills. Cost for camp is $50 per child per week. To register click here.

It's that time of year again; the days are longer and warmer and you start thinking about getting outside and enjoying nature. You dig through your closet and dust off your shoes, lace them up and step outside. You take a deep breath of that fresh, spring air and take off. The first walk or run of the season feels great and gets us excited and motivated for the summer months. This year, you can add another motivation to those spring walks - getting ready to participate in the 3rd annual Fun Run for a Promise. Each spring, Camp Promise hosts a 5K Fun run or walk to raise funds for Camp. This ministry relies on the donations of individuals, churches and businesses to provide quality programming for families in our community. With your help, we can raise important funds for Camp and enjoy some fun and healthy exercise together! Mark your calendars for Saturday June 10th at 9:30am, and sign up below through Canada Helps. We encourage you to get your friends or family together and sign up as a team, and even challenge other teams to reach or surpass your fundraising goals. Feel free to create a team theme and arrive dressed up for the event too. You don't need to be local to participate. We would love to have our friends and partners join us from around the world and do the Fun Run in your hometown, wherever that may be. Looking forward to another great Fun Run event! See you there!

Make a Difference for Camp Promise! The annual Camp Promise Fun Run supports the work and ministry of Camp Promise Barrie, a charity dedicated to supporting under-resourced families in the NE area of Barrie, ON through an affordable after school program, March Break and Summer Camps. This year, all proceeds from the Fun Run will go to support Camp Promise's four-week Summer Camp. Summer Camp takes place throughout the month of July, allowing families an opportunity to participate in a summer camp who wouldn’t normally be able to provide that experience for their children. Summer camp involves sports and games, arts and crafts, skits, Bible stories, worship songs and actions, lots of fun experiences and is a great time for building relationships and sharing Jesus. It’s also a great opportunity for some of our youth group students to get involved in leadership for the first time and our older leaders to take on new roles, discover their gifts and grow as they lead others. This year, you can join us in person on May 15th at 1pm OR you can join us virtually and complete your 5k anytime between May 8 and May 15th. Post photos for proof of completion or use #cpbfunrun22. Each year, Camp Promise provides a special gift for campers and their families during the Christmas season. This year, we are providing Christmas stockings to each camper. Would you join with us in spreading some Christmas cheer?

As we think about summer and look for Canada Summer Jobs grant students and two long term missionaries to join our team ( see job opportunity postings on his site), we are grateful to our two German make interns, Dimple and Mandarini, for the filming and production of this new video that tells our story and captures the history of the gym walls at our site. We hope all past volunteers and summer staff, interns, children and youth will be encouraged by this video, that testifies to all that God has done through so many dedicated and inspirational people.
